Ocean Threats

I was tasked with creating a set of visuals for an 8th grade science textbook. This project was an exploration on approaching education in a way that enables effective teaching design. My solution to creating a better learning experience was not to focus on what they’re learning, but how. I chose to design a series of visual aids depicting various ocean threats. The imagery was geared to be amusing and appealing to children, while seeking to foster an enjoyable method of learning without being overwhelming. This can be seen with the comprehensive imagery explained with short text, giving students a pictorial representation to the statements being read, allowing them to visualize each process instead of simply memorizing words.
