NCSA 30th Anniversary T-shirt

The National Center for Supercomputing Applications in Urbana is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year. I was tasked with designing an image to be printed on t-shirts for the company’s employees to wear. The center was established in 1986, and I sought to express the nostalgia of the 80s by designing an image that defines this time period but also relates to the company’s technology side. The well-known arcade game, PacMan, was used as inspiration. The company’s initials make up the maze, while the score and lives represent the year NCSA was founded and the years since then. This project is highly rewarding every time I see an employee wearing one of these t-shirts!
